Jordan's Broken Arm!

Well, we started this weekend by going up to Island Park to go camping, we had a blast. We had decided to come home on Saturday so that we could attend our ward activity, since we are on the committee. When we got there, that's when all the excitement began. We hadn't even been there 5 minutes when someone told us that Jordan was hurt. I said out loud that he was fine, until I saw what had happened. His wrist looked like rubber. It was gross. We knew then and there that something was wrong, either dislocated or broken. Turns out it was indeed broken. We took him to Community Care where they X-Rayed his hand. They told us he had broken both bones in his wrist and they were also out of place. They gave him a shot into his bone that numbed the area so they could put it back into place and cast it. It is not a permanent cast yet! They x-rayed it again and it is not quite in place, but they are going to let the orthopedic surgeon look at it and put it back in the correct place and then put a permanent cast on it. I couldn't watch as they gave him the shot and put it into place, so Ryan stayed with him. I took Elly out into the waiting room and played puzzles. A few of the ward members kept Paige while we took him. We have a wonderful ward who looks out for us! As we talked with Jordan, we found out that he was playing on the monkey bars and fell off, and landed on his wrist. I did the same thing when I was his age. I was 5 years old and I was at my kindergarten open house. Andy and I were chicken fighting on the mokey bars and I couldn't hold on any longer. I fell and broke my right arm just like Jordan. I showed him the picture and he thought that was pretty cool.
