Washington DC

We headed to Washington DC after Ryan got done with school. We got there, checked into our Bed and Breakfast, and then went sightseeing. We took the bus to the "Mall" (that is what they call the strip with all the Monuments on it) I'll tell you what.... Looking at a map you wouldn't think that it would take you that long to get to each monument. Yeah Right! It is quite the hike. We saw the Washington Monument first, holy cow that thing is HUGE! Then we walked to the World War II Memorial. Then we hiked some more to the Lincoln Memorial. WOW! It was amazing. It is so big and it is just so amazing how much history there is in one area. From the Lincoln Memorial, we walked to the U.S. Capitol. From a distance we were able to see the White house. We just couldn't see everything that we wanted to. At 7:00 we met our friend Collin at Union Station, and then took the Metro to meet up Rosemay and Josiah. It was fun to catch up and see how they were doing and to see their baby. He is such a sweetie. What a neat experience!

You didn't take the trolleys? That's what I did because everything was a walk. Looks like it was cold but you had fun.

Please tell me you have pictures of Josiah since Rosemay is taking her sweet time updating her blog with pictures of the little guy. You are so lucky to go on a trip without kids! And to see Co, Ro, and Jo. You've been going and going to a million places it sounds like. Sounds like you had a great time.
